There seems to be some sort of de rigeur male fashion uniform for most of the young men of Hong Kong. Cool t-shirt, dark jeans (sometimes light, not too baggy, not too tight), a necklace, a medium to large bag (either messenger or shoulder – occasionally a waist pack), cool shoes (most likely Nike or Converse), with optional black rimmed glasses and cigarette). I found this interesting and so highly prevalent that I decided to document.Or at least I really wanted to. I chickened out quite a bit because I felt bad about taking pictures when they didn’t know I was but then I didn’t want to ask if I could take pictures either, so it was weird. I assume that the style most likely comes from Japan, and that style of course, was a skewed output of Western sartorial influence.
